Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

BookMyMutualFund (“we”, “us”) is a mutual fund research and education service made up of the website bookmymutualfund.com and the BookMyMutualFund mobile app for Android and iOS. It is operated by Nirav Bhut, India, who is responsible for your personal data under this policy.

We provide fund information, comparisons, calculators and market news. We do not buy or sell mutual funds, accept payments, or hold your money or investments.

2. Information we collect

If you create an account on the website

• Account details: your email address, an optional display name and profile picture link, and your password — which we store only as a one-way encrypted hash, never in readable form.
• What you save: your watchlist, portfolios (fund holdings you enter yourself, such as units, average NAV, investment date and notes), investment goals and SIP plans, saved fund comparisons, saved calculator results, and any fund reviews you post.

This information is entered by you. We do not ask for your PAN, bank details, phone number, address or any government ID.

If you use the mobile app

The current version of the app does nothave accounts and does not collect personal information. Calculators run entirely on your device — the amounts you enter are not sent to us. The app downloads fund data and news from our website, and when you open a news story it opens the publisher's website, which is covered by that publisher's own privacy policy. The app does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone or files, and contains no advertising.

Information collected automatically

• Technical data: when the website or app connects to our servers, our hosting provider records standard request information such as your IP address, device or browser type, the page or data requested and the time. We use this to keep the service running, prevent abuse (for example, rate limiting) and fix problems.
• Storage on your device:the website stores your login session (sign-in tokens) and preferences such as funds in your compare tray, saved funds and recently viewed funds in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device; you can clear it at any time from your browser settings, and signing out removes the sign-in tokens.
• Analytics: we do not currently use analytics or tracking tools. If we add any (such as Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity), we will update this policy before doing so.

3. How we use your information

• To create and run your account and show you what you have saved.
• To provide fund data, comparisons, calculators and news.
• To keep the service secure, prevent misuse and troubleshoot errors.
• To respond when you contact us.
• To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, share it for advertising, or send you marketing emails.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run BookMyMutualFund, under their own security and privacy commitments:

• Vercel — hosts the website and our servers (including request logs).
• Supabase — hosts our database, where account data is stored.
• Resend — sends service emails (for example, account-related emails such as a password reset).

Fund data comes from AMFI and MFAPI, and news from Marketaux and publishers' public feeds. We do not send them any personal information about you.

We may also disclose information if required by law, a court or a government authority, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and service. Our service providers may store or process data on servers outside India.

5. How long we keep it

• Account data and what you have saved: for as long as your account exists.
• When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and everything saved with it within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something.
• Server request logs: only for a short period, for security and troubleshooting.

6. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and similar laws, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• correct or update inaccurate data;
• delete your account and personal data;
• withdraw your consent (for example, by deleting your account); and
• address a grievance about how we handle your data.

You can update your display name from your dashboard. For anything else — including deleting your account — email us at nirav1848@gmail.com from the email address registered on your account. We will respond within 30 days.

7. How we protect it

All connections to our website, app and servers are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, sign-in tokens expire automatically, and access to our database is restricted. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

8. Children

BookMyMutualFund is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes — for example, when we add new features to the app. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date, and for significant changes we will tell account holders by email or on the website.
